What does it mean to be a friend?
Perhaps it means, you are willing to bend.
Willing to bend like a tree in the wind.
To bend over backwards to please a friend.
Does it mean you are willing to lend,
A few dollars to someone not your kin?
To some that might set a bad trend,
For someone to make a loan to a friend.
'Tis a little kindness is what you intend,
You must be prepared sometimes to bend.
Thus showing true love to any old friend,
In my books I'd say you will always win!

I think bending and giving for a friend is what a friend does, not sure about bending over backwards~~~
