For years
they sailed
the stormy seas
of matrimony
like two ships
that pass in the night.
Nothing in common...
but children.
A Flying Dutchman,
empty and lost,
searching for a port.
Any port in the storm.

Must have made them a bit dinghy.  Seriously, I really like your poetry.  This one makes me think - and it's kind of melancholy (is that spelled right? - I am too lazy to look it up right now).

Thank you for sharing, dear Ida girl.

hello Ida, your poems are to rare cause when you stop during a while, I am always surprised by the delicacy of your thoughts...thanks for the fine piece of art.

Nothing in common...
but children.

It seems too many marriages are like this... whatever magic that had been, only a wisp of memory.

Beautiful write!!

Do I know what you mean, dear Ida! Yes this happens too often. Not only the meteorological storms are increasing, but also those related to couples! It's somehow frightening.

Great work, dear Ida!

A far too common scenario. You have a way, my dear Ida Belle, on putting your finger on the pulse of real life.

You speak ~ we listen! You write ~ we read!

A very sad and poignant piece of art, Ida, depicting a state that is far, far too common.  Life is better than this, and to not live it fully and richly is a sadness too great to be fully contemplated.  I trust this piece is about a friend or acquaintance...or better still, an abstract piece about someone you have seen across a room, or walking on a street.
Peace
Jim
