Let’s run away to Ireland. We day dream… then dream… then day dream again… But we could just sell all of our possessions – or at least the ones we never use. Buy two one-way tickets to the Emerald Isle with our music and our bliss – no ticket price for either. We’ll be the neighborhood performing duo in some small dive… Every week… And all our neighbors would like us. We’d invite them over for tea all of the time. They'd call us charming, we’d call them great. We’d think of the world as lovers and spread delight through the simple things. I’d always save my softest touch for you and play with your hair as slowly as it grows. Like a fly mounted on the wall, I’d take it all in as bigger than me and be content to watch you sleep. When we wake, we’ll make silly faces at the sun – to make it laugh along to our joy. No more missing you… One hundred times as much kissing you… An eight-hour flight… We’d be there before tomorrow. Think about it. Love. [This message has been edited by oh_ok (11-02-2009 05:56 PM).] |

The Emerald Isle is, herself, a lover. I think though, that you will find your mate a far more beautiful lover. Goddess grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference. |

oh_ok: I spent a wonderful two years in Ireland, and would recommend it to anyone. Sounds like you have a plan. Now is all we have at the present time, so go for it. Loved this positive and upbeat love song. Thank you. Jim "We are stardust: we are golden: and we've got to get ourselves back to the garden." --Joni Mitchell "Woodstock" |

Don't take a tour bus. My wife and I made that mistake. They take you so shops to buy things. They get a kick back for this from the shop owners. Just fly there and rent a car and travel around yourselves. Lovely poem, dear. keep writing. |
