I just thought that you should know
that it didn't end there
The laughter
The joy

It didn't stop that day

It follows me

Like the lingering traces of your favorite cologne

Your smile gave my memories life, depth, breadth

Those memories
dance behind my eyes like humming birds

That love
shaped my life, like hands at a potter's wheel

I just thought that you should know
that I still smile
I still laugh
I still love

And it's you who taught me it all

If I don't say it...who will?
