I don’t want to be clever,
I would have to keep in books
or teach mathematics in college,

I would have to listen scholars
or make theory about poetry,
to select high IQ rather than flowers,
rather than talk with friends
about fancy restaurants or NHL,

I would have to resolve equations
until midnight without you,
I just like the way I am,
fooling around in my little mind
without boring or despising people,

Though solving equations even past midnight could be highly enthralling, I guess the love factor is indeed priority.

Enjoyed your cute reflections here, dear Yann! You don't want to be clever, but you are and I think it's one of the most charming qualities in a man. Not even love works without cleverness, trust me.
