In these brief lines, we shall explore the habits of the carnivore. The mighty lion, noble beast, has oftentimes been known to feast on animal with grace known well, the fleet, the lovely, wild gazelle. The black python, it is known, if little pigs are left alone, (oh damn his dark and greedy soul!) will crush and swallow them quite whole. The great deceiving crocodile, will float quite quiet for a while, and then, with one enormous crunch, will have some swimmer for his lunch. In parts of Asia isolate, I do believe I'd hesitate, before supping, with great zeal, on a large green snake for my evening meal. And yet we find we can forgive, for all must eat if they're to live: but sympathy I cannot find for devouring one of one's own kind. For I believe the greatest crime and custom of the present time, is the credo of man today to devour anyone in his way. To sum up my thoughts, most inner, anyone could be someone's dinner. Sutra 15: One’s Dharma may be obscured by believing in Its exclusivity. |

Lori, many thanks. I do not mean to preach, but many of our societal problems seem to be so easily solved if we would just redirect our focus. DS, "The Lap Dog Theory" has a good sound to it...perhaps a new series? Earth Angel, thank you. Canadian, indeed, although it seems, from here, we are going through the long, dark, night of Canadian politics just now. Hasten the Intellectual Revolution! GBride, you are way too kind. As Holmes would say, "My blushes, Watson." Sutra 25: Remember that a pile of ordure is simply that: Seek not to give it meaning. |

I had to come back and read this one again. I'm going to print it off and show it to some friends. It has an Ogden Nash flavor to it. |

Very astute, GBride. Ogden Nash was indeed the inspiration for this little ditty. Sutra 30: Language reflects the Truth of one’s Reality: listen carefully when others speak. |

Aw what a well served poem. I find it quite delightful, and a well known fact about man's eating habit. Yet there are some animals that'll eat their own. |

This does have a n Ogdan Nash feel to it but your own talent unique is quite obvious here. Ida |
