she spoke of her bayou as the slippery man place
and gave the cypress trees boy names
dug her nails in their tender unders

wrote words of spell mouth sooth
then spit liquor on their limbs

she wore ol cotton slinky over her shimmer shine
kept the smooth glowing most evenings
said she was a web woman with hungry on

for some cajun wood to bend into circles
said it was her evil acting up all crazy kind

mine was meander leather mostly and some ink
she said the scars would do away in time
if she did her wicked licking drawings

and if I told her she was pretty with money
said she didn't need my other words none

just some of my soul and evergreen franklins

DS:  I just love the way you represent.  The local dialect in this piece is brilliant.  The work is strong and compelling, and man!  you can taste the musk. Great line in "...mine was meander leather mostly and some ink..."
Rock on, DS.  May your Dharma be scented by pavement, exhaust, and warm skin, and lighted by a darkening moon, and cajun nights.
Peace
Jim

Again I am fascinated by both the picture and the words. You create the kind of atmosphere that keeps spellbound. I am drawn into the charming web of your work.

"Just some of my soul ..." that's always the deepest craving.

Love,
Margherita

Wow - I just sat and looked at the art and then the words .. well, you are a weaver of words and images and imagination and sensuality.  You make a beautiful curtain that never obscures the visions beyond the windows.
