Fair to middlin' of nowhere

0 posted 2009-10-21 01:57 PM

I
Demanding
Constantly curious
Of whims and fancy
I dress up in mother clothes
And dance a parody
‘round reality
I slip out of shoes
That never really fit
And wiggle bare toes
In the muck
A playground sky
Scattered with clouds
Toys for my imagination
Sweet breezes caress
Tender nodding from the trees
They bounce shadows
On a lonely wall
Making faces
Making friends
Out of thin air
And silence

Nice, Lori.  What an excellent page from a childhood scrapbook!  I especially like "...dance a parody
‘round reality"
Many thanks,
Jim

This very much reminded me of my own childhood. Making friends with the wind, the trees, and the butterflies. Thank you for this little piece of nostalgia.
