Dawn found Doe eyed carcass entrails Splayed upon a back road For a witches read Swearing as much ‘bout the broken bike as What he still can‘ t believe Eyes playing tricks Mind wandered off Maybe No way did he see No Couldn’t be A woman was there Big dark eyes Long golden warm Brown hair Only A wisp of white She wore Gently Into the Break of day [This message has been edited by Lori Grosser Rhoden (10-20-2009 02:56 PM).] |

Evocative and symbolic in its simplicity, this gentle, magical piece transforms the disgust of wanton slaughter into a metaphor for sharing our world with all the wondrous creatures who are our neighbours. Jim Sutra 5: Public self-criticism does not brighten one’s Spark of Brahman: it merely feeds one’s narcissism. |

Ah--the deer are so hard to see--especially after dark--that it is dangerous to be out on the road at night. It does seem that they have a tendency to jump the wrong way. Shenachie |
