We don't always know
where we go

when these lids
have closed

and our eyes shut tight

in a blind
two hour ride

then
opened wide

before dawn's
early rise

to the bed's
cold moon

like a one night lover

that has left too soon

I like this very much... especially the ending. *S*

The term "cat nap" makes me smile... I have 2 kitties... and they're championship snoozers! LOL

Perfect.  Amazing how such a brief piece can say so much.  I like the visual form of this poem:  it gives a wispy look on the page, much like the fading remnants of a dream you can't quite recall. Good work.

Sutra 4: Do not expect your Path to be smooth.  It will have rocks, slippery portions, and parts that are washed away completely.  Persevere.
