grandfather always tell us, to never enter his study. But curiousity has always been a welcoming friend. we open the door, only to take a peep behind heavy doors. only to step into another time that was nver here, but was always been. the walls were covered with wooden faces, painted in make-up and feathers for hair. the ceiling was laced with planes and trains that would never learn the skies, nor tracks. upon the desk and night stand layed five hour glasses. it glowed in such a splendor, we couldn't resist. my sisters pick the one's that shined like stars, I was left with the dim one. studying it with my finger tips tracing it's well detailed art, until it fell from my hand. the hour glass shattered into a thousand pieces, as the sand seeped into the floorboard. within seconds we hear Thomas howl and nothing else. we nver went back into the study, nor anywhere in that house. for we lost it all when curiousity takes the best of us. |

awww~~ it's sad not to return. I remember my Grandfather and his stories...I wish I had written them down years ago although I still remember them but the moment is lost in time. Nicely told. M |

You brought out that "sneaky pleasure" feeling so well. Very well done. |
