The truth in the bottom line

I know by now,
that in time of pain
we actually do the most growing
and by hiding from it
we would miss out on the healing process

I know by now,
that rejection doesn’t determine our worth
it will eventually motivate us
to work on improving our lives,
which is necessary to bring about real healing

But at the end of the day,
we all want someone stand beside us
with character.
Someone who’d never be okay with lying behind our backs,
not in fear of being caught..
but because it made him not like himself

I know by now,
that rejection doesn’t determine our worth

My head knows, but my heart doesn't listen. *S*

I can't read your last verse without nodding... and hoping your hurt eases soon. Well written!

shalisadefa - your words are very true, but hurt does leave in time. Looking forward to reading another of your writings...

True Wisdom. Some people never learn these things. They hide in alcohol and drugs or other hiding places from the pain.
We cannot know love without loss.
We cannot know the beautiful things without the ugly things.
We cannot be together without experiencing loneliness.
Big boys and girls know this.
