I know I caught you off guard when I stepped into your cafe that sunny afternoon on Rue Mouffetard you were busy helping people with hunger on their mind and no plan for interruption but I could tell by the surprise on your face when your eyes realised they knew mine and your smile wore that melt me gaze that I had not been forgotten You told me later while walking along the Seine that my smile had kept you normal for a whole year and somewhere between the I don't know why and I don't know how it made sense... Be kind at heart....for everyone you meet has their own battle to fight......... |

And it is a smile that can light up the pages of PiP too. I love this one, RDB. There is so much love in your poetry. xoxoxo Ali-girl |

Lovely poem. Being remembered fondly is wonderful (especially when the other person means much to us). I enjoyed reading your poem. the only line I had trouble with was the one about the 'melt me gaze'. I could imagine a smile that could 'melt' and a gaze that could 'melt' but the order in the line gave me a little trouble. |
