You could not imagine,
could you?

That such a loved one
would one day die.

And yet, you do
and well should you.

Seeing is believing.

Deeper than the eye.

Each thought is but a stitch
of patchwork quilted mind.

Widen your view
and you will find

that nothing has been undone

The quilt still covers you
in the courtship of sleep.
Now, I lay you
My soul to keep.

It's hard to imagine
life without this one
And yet, you do
You imagine you do.

But, the loved one knows
that you know
that the loved one
still loves you,
in your delusion.

They've only stopped
loving you in theirs.

It's hard to imagine
And yet, you do
But, should this
somehow trouble you...

hide beneath the cover

Nothing has been undone.

So profoundly true and something to think about.
