(I've been busy balancing my intensive volunteering, immersion and research into Tantra, Ecstatic Dance and other social pursuits, so all the new poetry cruising down the fanciful freeways of my mind is in stop-and-go mode getting out on paper! So here's a re-post I feel parallels the state of mind I'm in presently, while I go about completing some new anthems that are very hardcore.) * Stay Cool By: Lisping Hibiscus 11/20/06 Miracles don’t belong, to those who fly in the air, you don’t need to walk on water, to recognize they were always there, walking with you upon the Earth, in fluorescent flair… So dare to lose yourself, in something bigger than yourself, foster that feeling of transcending ones self, channel it across each continental shelf… Stay cool, show the world how you move, you imbue much more than you think you do, stay cool, you’ve got the soul, go with the flow… Elevate your heart, reaching as far as we can is how we go, let the universe conspire, that golden glow from head to toe, adore what you are today, hold that belief into each tomorrow… They say nine-tenths of the way, is paved by the encouragement we convey, individuality is best portrayed, in making the most of every day… Stay cool, show the world how you move, you imbue much more than you think you do, stay cool, you’ve got the soul, now assume control… Balustrades were dreamed up, for more than just promenades, gyrate your hips full circle, with the trees let your body sway, there’s a song resting on the lips, of everyone who loves to sing, take wing to possibility, in the first degree, stay cool… Stay cool, show the world how you move, you imbue much more than you think you do, stay cool, you’ve got the soul, now assume control… Stay cool! Stay cool! Stay cool! "If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other" Mother Teresa |

Keeping my cool too! Flying high and in the flow with the Universe. Hey, Angel Boy/Man, I like the way you think! To me, this poem has a mix of Beatnik, transcendental, spiritual, New Age feel to it! I dig it! Peace & Joy! Linda |

Awwwwwwwwww, thanks Roniece! (huggies) Yep, I first wrote and posted this about three years ago as part of my concept poetry set "Dance Dance Revolutionary". Sooooooooooo glad you enjoyed it! Hope you are having a wonderful time in France still, yay! XOXO, Lisping Hibiscus "If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other" |

Yay, thanks Linda! (huggies) I'm simply amazed how, in looking back through my poetry archive, many of my poems have nods to Tantra, despite having not previously researched the spiritual philosophy. It's as though I was already a devotee to the philosophy.........I just didn't know what its name was! Freddy Zental Weaver, as you may remember, has encouraged me to blend my poetry, dance and reflections together into a performance art medium of sorts, and so now I feel some of my "Dance Dance Revolutionary" writes would segue perfectly into such a concept. I have more new writes on the way that I intend to work into the concept, that are slightly autobiographical and reflect my rite of passage and awakening, but also speak universally. I've been going to Ecstatic Dance classes to further seek inspiration; social dance gatherings every week with a particular theme for each meeting, encouraging participants to seek a higher spiritual plane and come into being through dance. Everyone there said how delightful it was seeing me dance, both because of the passion and stamina, but also because of the personality I give my dancing. On Sunday I went to such event, where the theme was Power Animals, where we were encouraged to dance like our totem animals, but also draw from a deck of Power Animal Oracle Cards throughout the evening, reflect on the message to the card and then dance like that animal! Yay, hope you're having a great new week thus far, my friend! (huggies) XOXO, Lisping Hibiscus "If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other" |

You combine wisdom and enthusiasm and I think this is really COOL! I am sure watching you dance must be fun, because you put your free spirit into your movement. Beautiful! Love, Margherita |

Awwwwwwwwwww, thanks Margherita! I'm unhealthily obsessed with writing anthemic poetic lyrics that merge the didactic with the carefree. I guess I've always had this feeling where I'm disenchanted with how a lot of music on Top 40 radio nowadays, primarily dance music, has a lot of sameness lyrically to it..........but I'm equally as disenchanted with how a lot of more artistic, indie pop comes across as too grandiose and ultimately has melody compromised in result. I like to function in the median.........write anthems that feel proverbial but also don't hit you over the head and make you want to goose your body up in phosphorescent body paint and shake your tailfeather! Actually, if you go to YouTube and search my account "EmmanuelEndorphin", you can find some videos of me dancing! That's right.........nothing like do-it-yourself media that can suddenly become blackmail should it slip into the wrong hands! Enjoy the rest of your week, my friend! (squeals with joy) Oh my gosh.........Bob!!! How have you been? I've missed you soooooooooo much, especially in Spiritual Journeys where you've always shined! (huggies) I really should post there again, come to think of it. I was on hiatus for quite a while before this summer, and while much has changed in my life (for the better) I feel some of the more meditative offerings of my new Tantra-centered poetry would fit well into that forum! I guess you can say I have a dual-appreciation of that and Christianity now! Hope all has been well with you, my friend! I've missed you! Yay, thanks soooooooooo much for your kind words, BrownEyedGirly! I just always feel much more spiritually at ease when I write upbeat, happy-go-lucky flair. I'm surely just as adept at writing melancholic or pensive material as my back catalog here would show, but all in all I believe in heart I should write above all else what truly makes me feel next to enlightened inside, and if I had a choice I'd always prefer happy and/or fulfilling anthems over downbeat anthems. I find it impossible at this moment of time to write downbeat material anyway! You might say I couldn't write a depressing poem to save my life right now! Yay, have a wonderful happy week, my friend! Noah, Just wanted you to know that I was very pleased by your response and happy as well to have met up with you again here on these blue pages and, also, although I've pretty much remained solely Christian, OMG, I am thrilled (I am) by your expressed 'spiritual journey' and your delving into the Tantra. WoW! Unbelievable. Anyway, God bless you, my friend, and, again, I’ve, thoroughly, enjoyed your kindness and correspondence. Love and Light, -Bob |

Yay, thanks again, Bob! I guess where I am at right now is that, while I certainly do believe in God, and I hold many Christian proverbs and verses (especially the Matthews verses) dear to heart, I've also come to believe that, because His name is often overused and misused interchangeably, and so I felt I needed to seek some sort of open concept spiritually where, when you say it out loud, you realize you can't form a mental image of it, and that confirms your own presence in the universe and how we are all capable of transformation by being. I've believed this for a long time, but I just wasn't familiar with the name of the spiritual philosophy.......until this year, when I discovered it is known as Tantra (Sanskrit for "cosmic weave"). I know some may ask when I've gotten ever so fascinated by Tantra if that means I am rescinding my Christian faith. The answer is no.......for I've come to realize that Western faiths tend to be more based on analysis and reason, while Eastern faiths tend to be more based on intuition. I believe one is capable of living with an appreciation of multiple faiths in varying respects, and I do believe I'm destined to live this way, as I think having an even balance of this reason of one faith with the intuition of another faith can inspire a most happy way of living. (huggies) I too have always been moved by your friendship and comfort, my friend! Hope all is well with you and give your family and loved ones my kindest regards! They say nine-tenths of the way, is paved by the encouragement we convey, individuality is best portrayed, in making the most of every day… Your way must be well paved, my friend. *S* This is beautiful... so are you! *S* |

Yay, thanks soooooooooooo much, dearest Suthern! (huggies) My way is an opaline freeway that reaches into the sky presently! (does happy dance) Many of my next poems will, ironically, sound very heavy, intense and even wrathful in a way, but it's because, after all, any transformation is preceded by and consists of upheaval, and dakinis/dakas (Tantric healers) basically invoke wrath upon their subjects to help them realize their full potential and become complete, realized beings. Some wrath is indeed intelligent and beneficial, because it inspires change, and when many of my next poems may read hauntingly, it's a sensual, ecstatic kind of wrath! Yay, sooooooooooo glad to hear from you, my friend, yay! XOXO, Lisping Hibiscus "If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other" |
