Okay, so you want to write a poem.
Something inside you wants to come out.
You want to make a mark on the world,
however insignificant it turns out to be.
You think “What can I say that is important,
enough to other people, to justify their time spent,
reading something I wrote?
What can I offer them of substance?
So you write about love, death, wolves, howling,
despair, fear, truth, but mostly about love.
Most people think “true love” will solve
all their problems. But the reality is that is
when they truly begin. The problems that is.
When you start you want to physically possess
them in a way no one else has before.
Not just for sex, but to make them happier
than they have ever been. Good Luck!
True love is when your lover calls from the other
room and says, “Dear I can’t find my: keys, money,
sweater, glasses, letter, shoes, pills, shorts.”
And you put down what you are doing and
go and help your lover without cursing
under your breath or stomping your feet
on the floor in indignation at the injustice.
So you see, tonight I decided to write about the truth.

Yes, it would have to be the truth as I see it. I could hardly write about the truth as you see it, since I don't know what that is.
Hence I read the poems on piptalk so I can learn the truth as others see it. I hope to take knowledge from others and add to my own. Thanks for comments folks.

Hi, GB! The truth about love keeps changing for me!

~ Different people, different times, different circumstances ~ even different places! Love for me, comes in many coats of colours ~ and of varying intensity.

I enjoyed reading your take on it. ~ and I agree, that when you willingly ~ and ungrudginly ~ inconvenience yourself for another, that is definitely a show of true, selfless love.
