Can you imagine? A life without flaws? Of purity, joy, pleasure... What if I grabbed our hand, kissed your cheek. Would your eyes twinkle, would your chest rise with the flight of butterflies? What if I were beautiful, would you stare at me from across the room? If my voice was the sweetest you've ever heard, would you dream where you stood? What if my eyes held no sadness, and my roots stood deep. Could I capture you with a net of poetry, weaved so you may dream of me in your sleep? Could I capture your heart with a jar, if my face held no scar? My heart is in pieces, but I'd find them all for you- Could you then resist? Would you yearn for me if I were famous? A genius among the daft, so flawless. A passion fueled by the fire in my veins only a fool could enjoy. If I plucked the knife from my back to kill your enemies, would be forever mine, be held in arms such as these? Like a tree holds leaves, I hold thoughts. A mind such as quick as mine was once broke. The thought of me having you? What a joke. "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." Oscar Wilde |

"What if I were beautiful..." doesn't this poem prove you are beautiful. |
