this scarlet letter is worn

shamelessly

guilt will not mend to her skin

but disenchantment chokes

as she pretends nothing hurts

as she burns all her notes

she realizes

no one really wants to see a girl fly

after all

she’s been in worse places, though

and feast or famine

she will get by

Feast or famine, ain't that the truth and personally I've been starving a lot lately, but I would sure like to see a girl fly, unless its away

Interesting and different write Shellie

Some girls can't help but fly - their feet are fairy light.  I like this poem a lot, sheli.  Hate to tell you - but you are one of those girls.

I know of this ... good that we make it through every time and fly again.

Beautifully and powerfully expressed, dear Shellie.

Yes you will honey,
there will always be a way,
somehow somewhere,
and you have friends!

hang in there,
I am hanging with you!

Shellie, I want to see you fly! Fly high and free from entanglements that bind! Keep looking ahead to better times! ~ and there will be! ~ "Just as sure as God made little green apples."

If we tell ourselves often enough that "it doesn't hurt" ~ It eventually doesn't!

Love you, my sweet ss,
Linda
