I trickled down your lips like a thick red wine accidentally spilled, in the midst of a hearty laugh falling rapidly to the floor, leaving stains but pleased to have touched you in the first place. I went to your head and made you foolish poor decisions piled over you like drifts of snow plastic-bottle vodka often does that to young women. You woke up tasting vomit and regretting me already I showed in your doorway, amber like finely aged whiskey You couldn't help but deny me then, saying you weren't a fan of the hard stuff anymore. I asked you why you'd changed your mind, and told you that I was in fact cheap beer I love my dog, and my truck. It's that simple, really. |
