She fell between her knees, The finely brushed line she walked on With her shirt waving a pass at her pants As she watched the gentleman pass at each red light. She watched with fifth Ave at her back Holding a cigarette with her right hand Looking away as she was offered a lighter by a man in black, They exchanged each otherÕs names; As she tightened her cheeks smoking her cigarette Underneath his dark scent Favoring his eyes They watched as cars passed. Two strangers, with her finger softly resting on his back. |
