we were under the trees that were earrings
at the neck line of some whispering dawn
voices hanging on each others words
then swallowing them silently inside

perhaps the swelling of emotions was noticeable
more on myself then on your skin
but we worshiped the willing mirrors anyway
like a parade of only two without watchers

knowing god was taking his time looking away
and was shaking his head at our brazen
you suggested he made us this way for reasons
I could only imagine the agenda thereafter

so I described it to you in vivid details
and you made those sounds in your soul again
then laughed sometimes that I had caught you
but wanted more of my borderline insatiability

as if an addiction was what we both needed

You are not only a dessert that melts in sweetness on the tongue, you personify all that a soul needs to absorb of poetic nourishment.

The whole of it is stunning.

I loved this part!  I reminds me of that other side that each of us has of the longing to sometimes step over that invisible boundary that we set for ourselves.  Thank you as always for sharing!!!!

so I described it to you in vivid details
and you made those sounds in your soul again
then laughed sometimes that I had caught you
but wanted more of my borderline insatiability

as if an addiction was what we both needed

Is addiction a need or a craving?  Either hits me with this one.
