hold me closer to the dark I see
don't let me go into the light
its a failing wind
that takes me apart.

hold me tight so I can fall asleep
don't let me run into the ground
its a last moments breath
that I can see.

the changes that compress me
the ones that let me stay
are the same that falter my voice
as I tell you its okay.

and shame to my good spirit
as I change my impression of you
while I walk upon the meadows
of darkness from the moon.
