Long Awaited Arrival Of Autumn

I open these pages,
that have collected dust,
it is the season of happiness,
autumn joys await,

Gently I blow,
as the pages come back to life,
awaiting, knowing someday,
they would be viewed again,

As evening sun hides in trees,
the air dampens, thoughts linger,
the excitement of it all awaits,
just around the corner.

Leaves are falling with each memory,
dancing, performing, making me laugh,
I run trying to catch them,
store each within my heart,

Magic moons appear in night skies,
spooky misty clouds float dreamingly by,
as I sip hot apple cider sitting at my window,
beauty is coming, glorious colors,

I shake and smile awaiting their arrival,
part of that season is already here,
it wouldn't be complete without it,
this is a magical season,

I just love it, in all its splendor,
in all its glory, shine on me,
beautiful colors of autumn,
I am happy you are here.
