An old woman stops
and wishes me ‘bonne journee madame’
A young child appears
fixated on my face
then plays hide and seek with hers
A small dog sits languishing in the sun
and allows me to pat him gently
A couple clearly in love
have eyes that show the world
it’s ok to laugh without words
And the kindness of strangers continue
to smile upon my Paris day...

Hi Roniece, sounds like you are having a wonderful day my friend, we treat others as we would like to be treated ourselves, I think that true. I enjoyed your words Roniece, enjoy your day.

As I said on fb it's you, your smile, that cause people (and animals too) to stop and express their own kindness. And in the end it's a mutual gift!

Beautiful thoughts, dear Roniece.

Bonjour mon amie, Roniece!

I enjoyed all the images but the following was my favourite ~

"A couple clearly in love
have eyes that show the world
it’s ok to laugh without words"

As you may recall, I have mentioned to you
how much you and my best friend of 26 years remind me of each other. I think the resemblance is uncanny. Here is a pic of her taken this month.

Roniece - you are looking in the right place for the blessings and gifts of life.  On Tuesday it may be Belgium but still you will see the kindness of strangers because it's what you give and so will get in return.  Oh, but enjoy all the other stuff too!

Roneice, I showed your photo to my friend and she was flattered that I thought she looked like you. She also said that you look glamorous! ~ and indeed you do!

It's now many years since I was in Paris... you take me back. *S* And you write truth... I confess I had some misgivings about being in a place where I didn't speak the language... but the language of kindness is universal. *S*

hello Roniece, this is outstanding, the simplicity of the scenes, of the facts and people equals the simplicity of the style, we can see through your eyes the life expanding its goodness and strengh, I enjoyed your poem.

(does ecstatic dance) Oh Roniece, laughter, to me, is always the most precious when you don't even know why it is you're laughing, and just happens because of involuntary bliss!

It's sooooooooooo wonderful to hear how everyone in Paris is providing you comfort and hospitality and making your trip all the more memorable and something to be treasured forever, yay! Bless you and tell all the friends you have yet to know (which is what I often call strangers! ) I give them my fondest regards too!
