           Wizard Moon

Beneath a rising wizard-moon
as flickering stars and clouds
   float by …
the playful gypsy-wind
mixes grand old dreams
with healing evening shadows
and swirling wisps of time;
On this twilight cusp of Autumn,
rejoice in life’s brief meteor
before the winter’s void
if, even once, by chance
  or cosmic favor,
thou hast known love.
