 The season of magic weaves its spell, colorful leaves begin to dance, in sync with the winds, Trees with outstretched limbs, sway back and forth, awaiting their partners, The wind begins to play its somber song, whistling through valleys and trees, this, their last song of the year. Something magical happens, the earth transforms, one last show before death, The Fall festival of life, celebrating all of nature, dressed with every color, Breathe in this moment, of harvest moons, pumkins of orange and green. Golden corn stalks in every yard, decorations of yellow mums, some deep burgandy, Warm apple cider with cinnimon, pumkin pie, pumkin roll, warming the soul, All this, before the sleep, the long sleep of winter, where time is frozen. Before that first snowflake, arriving to warn, that death comes quickly, That life is a celebration, up until the very end, when spring will never be again. All of us "fall people" need to get together and have a big barn festival...with lots of pumkin pie and creamy cool whip...lol! I will make the pies...now who is fixing the main dish? ~ARH |
