A Trees Last Breath

This is not how I pictured the end to be,
One sad and lonely dieing tree.
Nature has left you to weep alone,
In your sad and lonely desolate home.

Even the rainbow now, has come to cry,
Not a drop of sweet moister
Comes from natures cold eye.

Disease Has ravaged the best parts of you,
Your old limbs bend and decay.
No sap to refresh your shining glow,
No one else to hear you die today

So goodbye my old friend
No more leaves to grab the sky
It's just me, and the rainbow
That are here to watch you die,

Annie

This is deeply poignant, it is so very  painful to witness a tree's demise.

Love,
Margherita
