Murky traveler

Dashing through the shallow waters deep,
There she goes, did you see that little leap?
Murky brown colored traveler of the sea,
No scales on her body, how could this be?

A coronet on her head, long mouth to eat,
Steering forward upright on a single feet,
A body made of fragile bone plated rings,
Stationary objects she finds, she clings.

Two independent moving little eyes,
Pathetic swimmers in the deep blue skies,
Wandering around the meadows green,
Camouflaged in grass, she’s rarely seen.

Changing color during the pre dawn dance,
Then you know, it’s time for romance,
She will never bear her young ones ever,
Males getting pregnant, nature is very clever.

She visits him daily for her morning greets,
Inside him now many little hearts beats,
Care for her is so very essential and must,
She is so unique; her care is just more than lust.

Nature in all it's beauty...what a splendid creature you write of.

Really loved your ending, lust is so fleeting and the pleasure...like instant gratification, hardly worth putting in the time.

Much enjoyed, Prasad~
