colored pencil art by Janet K. Brennan, effects by jkb, 2007 Slipping from the den, he disappeared unto the briar , his fur soft, velvet-robe-red, waiting , watching through slits gold. . Her key eternal, slipped through fingers lovely, laying bare dreams that had been buried amongst pink folds, forever. . His sword, once locked into a rock, now free within his grasp, a Lordly gift and purpose thought for better means than to slice at a fair maidens heart. . As twisted youth went missing, eyes dimmed, armor intact, weapon raised. She would be his! . Standing amongst clover, eyes trusting, lips full, morning dew upon her breast, she called. . He made his presence known, and she so tender laughed a song. . Come to me, my love. for I am not a maiden lost amongst pink silk; but a wolf in the wild; a jackal-waiting! . Your eyes dim with sly thoughts, teeth drip with the innocent; your red robes fall to your feet exposing all that is you. But I am not a maiden fair, but a wolf in high places. Oh , see I have a second key! And I have been waiting! ~~~~ Janet K. Brennan |

Very nicely the animal in all humans has been brought forward, which we keep hidden within wraps but it does come out as you have written mostly unknown even to us. Love Esha [This message has been edited by ESHA SEN GUPTA (09-09-2009 06:52 AM).] |

Thanks Esha and yes, so true. Sometimes it is very difficult to see the wolf under the threads of gold or to even know which of the players is really the wolf! Jan |
