there is some mist in my head, kind of vertigo,
I can’t see through my eyes,
I would so much like to watch a giraffe eating grass,
and to learn about seeking gold in rivers of Kenya.

Right now I tremble and smoke confusion, I feel everything
and can’t move,
serenity escapes like a child,
who am I ? What can I do about what I miss ?
I miss everything, I am getting old and watch clouds in the sky
to forget my fatigue, my fear of missing you or not.

There is some mist in my head, kind of vertigo,
I can’t see, I can’t hear, I can’t smell,
my senses have abandoned me, thoughts are dark flag,
my fatigue sails like a pirate ship ready to assault
every sanity of my closed seas.

Dear Yann, hello it's me, listen to me, sit down and relax!

This is such a vivid description of fatigue that you stirred my nursing instincts.

You have done an incredible job here, though I hope it does not reflect your reality.

I feel the fatigue too after all of these loooong hooooooooooooooot days, that seem to never have an end.

Love,
Margherita

A very interesting read, with a dark tint. I really liked how you talked about the loss of senses. That added a perfect touch to this gloomy, yet poetic goodness of a write.

Yo Yann,

Take it easy buddy.  It sounds like you're working too hard.  Think of relaxing things.

Yann my good friend, what you need is a trip to Kenya where you really can see

those Giraffes, I wholly recommend it.
It's a trip you will never forget.
Good luck and travel soon.

Man oh man, Yann! I sure as heck wish I could write like that when I am over-fatigued! Even through your fugue state, you managed to write a poem that really grabs the reader!

In one of the replies you wrote, I see that you are feeling better now! ~ Thank goodness! As they say, "You can't keep a good man down for long!"

Giving you some of my morning dew tonic,

Love and a big energizing hug,

Linda

Hello Prasad, thanks for the sharing comment, these are painful moments indeed when you know that your mind is exhausted and all we have to do is to rest, let things quiet for a while...

best wishes
