From Year To YearIs the worst thing I could have done Still I hung onto dreams I had That we’d once again become one The days turned slowly into months Then, those months turned into years From year to year it only got worse And, each day I cried too many tears My hopes for things to get better Were all a waste of time you see I finally had to face the facts The way things were ~ would always be The days are long and lonely now The nights are even longer still And, those nightmares I sometimes have Without a doubt I know aren’t real 9-2-09 |

Sweet and beautiful Sue, the pain is still so vivid in your expressions. A profoundly poignant write. May love enter your life anew and make the past fade away. Love and hugs. Margherita |

Poignantly written, from the heart. Sue, may the next year bring some peace of mind and perhaps, a new companion who will appreciate you. Hoping the physical healing also goes well? |

Dear Sue, that is such a sad poem, well written, but tells a sorry tale that I'm afraid happens to so many people these days. I really feel for you my dear and I sincerely hope that you will meet someone in the not to distant future that will make your light shine again. Good luck, love. Lindsay |

Oklahoma Rose - moving on is at times the best move to make. A time of sorrow will follow, then it will become better... BC |

It is such a long and lonely road to walk down. Been there done that, but I came out of it on the other side and it's a pretty nice place to be. Best to you, Ms. Rose~ |

ESHA SEN GUPTA, I am so sorry you are having to go through all of this. I do hope you find a way out. Margherita, once in a while something happens to bring those memories back again. I would love to have a new love to come into my life. Midnightsun, thank you for your kind reply and well wishes. I am feeling better, today. Just not as good as I want to. Maureen, that is very true. LindsayP, yes, I am afraid that is true. I am so ready for that special someone to come. Bill, that is true. As you know, I did pick up the pieces and move on. Now, I am waiting for that something better. Blues Serenade, for the most part, yes it is a pretty nice place to be. |

When I read your poetry about the marriage you were in, I see and feel your strength. It is what first made me take notice of you when I came to PiP. You have a lot of courage to leave and make a life for yourself. You are quite a woman! Love, Alison |

I think Bill is right on target. Sometimes we just have to start over in one way or another. I think dwelling on the past keeps us from moving foward. Ida |
