I see your connected
Your web vast and strong
Quite well selected
In your web I don't belong

It's days like these I scratch at my skull
It's days like these you are
It's days like these you grow so dull
It's days like these you are

I watch the face of the devil
I shun the tears of the angel

You thought you could hold me
You thought I would never be

Free.

"We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." Oscar Wilde

oooh, I really like this!  The rhythm is intriquing, as is the way you present the subject matter.  Cool!

A very interesting poem. What does it mean "free". What is freedom?
"When you have nothing else to loose."
"It comes from the barrel of a gun."
"The recognition of nessesity."
Perhaps,in this case, freedom from a lovers control. Freedom from a cold reception from a lover you does not think you have preformed according to their rules.
For me freedom is the will to think as I choose without anothers control. I am always being told what I must think. Each thing I must do in accordance with what others want. I resist this. I hope you do to. I tell them whatever they want to hear then I do as I please. If they object I tell them where they can stick it.
