Rainy Day Dreams By Paul Wilson Gone forever those days of childhood dreams watching raindrops slide down window pane Puddles beckon me come splash your cares away late summer showers invite me with their rain Grass is a vibrant green from recent rain flowers have a special fragrance and glow Everything looks cleaner and fresher today Worries melted away like winters snow Oh how I love a gentle rain tap…tap…tap a steady beat falling gently at my feet Clouds of gray flowing on summer breeze nectar from above smells so sweet Beat gently on my soul rhythm of the rain cleanse my heart and mind in your special way Counting raindrops one by one let it rain forever and a day Sitting on the park bench a gentle rain brings a smile to my face I watch as others run for cover dodging raindrops in their haste I am at peace with the world cares and worries washed away Please return tomorrow gentle rain I wish you could stay ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ |

2Islander2...So glad you enjoyed this. Thanks for taking time to read and reply...Paul Linda...WOW I am really missed by someone other than the neighborhood dog. LOL Serriously it is nice to be missed, I only wish that my muse would feel the same and get a move on it. I have much more poetry to share with the world. This was written for my daughter, she loves the rain...Paul Heart2Heart...Glad you liked this. I really do feel like the rain cleanses everything and bringa a fresh start to life. Thanks again...Paul latearrival...The first few drops are the worst,but once you get wet you just open up your heart and let the rain wash away all your worries if only for a short time.
