Thank you, Kacy, for finding the typo on the original haiku. I wasn't really happy with it - so I rewrote the haiku and put the picture in Photoshop to bring out the smoke. The sun was orange - but the smoke was lighter than shows now in this picture. A [This message has been edited by Alison (07-28-2009 11:21 PM).] |

LOL at DS comment. (bright of the sun?) It's such an eerie look, smoke covering the face of the sun. |

Margherita, Thank you. We have a lot of wildfires here in the summer. One fire is only about thirty miles away and has been creating some spectacular skies and dropping lots of ash. We are all safe, but it's a bit heart stopping sometimes. xoxoxo Alison - Hey, D. Hallucinating again - too many cigars, ya know. xoxox A - Yep, Kacy, he makes me laugh too. Thanks for the editing. You caught me! Hugs, A - Karou, Thank you lots. A - Sue, It's good to be back. Thank you, sweetie. xoxoox Alison - H2H, Thank you lots. Nice of you to take the time to share your thoughts. You made me smile. A |

Wildfires in Alaska really sound strange ... I understand that it is frightening! Also the new version is very good! Bight being a word I thought you had used it intentionally, it did not sound so foreign in the context ... sun bight ... not bad at all. Love, Margherita |

Linda, The sun refuses to be defeated. No fires can obscure the heat of it's being. Yep, the smoke is nasty, icky bad. Love, Alison - Margherita, It's not so bad really. I live in a valley and when the winds are right, the smoke settles in here. Hopefully, it will blow right on out again soon. There is a rather large fire burning about thirty miles away, but it is open country and there's no danger to us here. It's just smoky. That's okay - it gets old, but it's okay. xoxoo Alison - Thank you, Lauren. xoxoxo A - Fix away, girly. You know I love you being here. xoxoox A |
