the feed
like any addiction
an itch in need
numbness to all else
guarding, up and down
paranoia
obsessions of right and wrong
pounding, head long
mis-guided directions
of sweats and fever
an oasis of
hallucinations
trying to give
into the want
building inside
with no place to go
until acceptance
of what is real
and the have
is reachable
by extended hand
going cold
