This is about religion and my past faith. (Inspired by Flyleaf's new c.d) -------------------------------------------------- I once found something that made sense But I heard fools always believe In their naive state of mind Every lie working a way to deceive True others believed the stories And I had hope with all my heart That the wise man's words were true But doubt twisted me and contort My hope was broken among the thorns An empty feeling took its place People casting their shame Leaving me a target in disgrace Where are my broken shards? Where is that forsaken hope I need some refugee Some words to help me cope |

First of all, I love Flyleaf! Alot! Anyways... This is a totally awesome poem, Zach. I can really relate and I'm sure that there are many that can. Sorry I haven't been commenting on your poems lately, just been busy. I'll comment on more of them soon. “All bad poetry springs from genuine feeling.”--Oscar Wilde |
