These broken words and selfish lies

Soulful, tainted, shadowed pasts
These prohibited loves they never last
Broken promises filled with doubt
Leave me trapped with no way out

With every breathe that i expire
I addfuel to your deadly fire
And every slip i seem to make
Is another blow i have to take

You don't see just who i am
Because you've never stopped to give a damn
I love you and you know i do
But life’s too hard when i’m with you

This life alone is killing me
But your to blind to really see
And all these things i love to hate
May just become a deadly fate

This childish war is all but won
I'm your daughter and he's your son
With all these lies we'll walk away
You lost your kids again today...

You know, this is an all to familiar story to quite a few. The one good thing that comes from a period in life like this is the opportunity to become the best parent or grandparent you can be, as you know better. It sounds crazy, but parents like these are the ones losing out, and that I find sad.

You really do have a way with words,
Missed reading your work.
A sad story to read but an even sadder story to live through, never lose hope.
