Do u remember the times That you so calmly struck my face? Threw me to the ground, In my own disgrace. Perhaps you have forgotten How your words ripped through my skin, Dug their way to my heart, And began this war within. To you it’s all in the past, Buried with my pride But for me it's not that simple, To push the memories aside. Yes you made me stronger In much more than just one way. But does that really justify The price I had to pay?
