I am sitting in a room filled with joyful faces. People I recognize talk to each other, but then there's me--in the corner. They're all laughing and having fun, gushing over everything new. No one cares to stop and talk, no on thinks of the mouse without her hole. Voices fill the spaces, and I hear so many conversations. I wish I could tell my stories, I wish they would care about me. I feel as though I'm a mouse without a hole. I can't get comfortable, I can't show who I am. One day my time will come, and I'll shine like the others. Until then though, I'll be digging my little hole. julianna |

Hiding in your hole isn't gonna help to find new friends. Take risks, that way later on in life you can say "I tried all I could" Nice metaphor too! -Zach |

Hmm, I don't know. Sometimes, it's good to have a little niche to fall back upon when things go awry. True, risks can be rewarding, but sometimes, its also good to have a buffer to land upon. A great poem, and as mentioned above, an interesting metaphor! There is power in the pen. |
