Based off of the book, The Rook by Steven James. _____________________________________________________________________ Any moment now the air in her lungs will disappear along with her freedom. The rusted chains hold her down as she struggles, but she can't break free. She's drowning in her tears. She's almost gone now, there's death in her eyes. Open and wide, staring at the one who held her life in their hands. Silence. The last bubbles float to the top, and she's no longer in pain. Hell is just a memory now. Who could do this? Who could take an innocent life, and feel absolutely nothing? It's the man from the painless hell. julianna |

I'm looking for a book to read, and from reading your poem it sounds interesting, though I'll try to force myself to read the Pawn first if I can get my hands on it. The hardest part about writing poetry, is trying not to write like everyone else. |

yes, lol. the pawn is about a serial killer and the main character is trying to find him. its a little more grewsom than the rook, but its still fantastic. i own the first two. after the rook there's The Knight. i still need to get my hands on that one. julianna |
