this poem is about me meeting my father. i dont know what he looks like or where he is. i know very little and the things i know are not pleasant but i thought this is what it would be like to meet him. The blood that swims these vieins is yours, as is the air that fills our lungs. Your voice is but a silent whisper as hollow words slip off your tongue This silly devil is haunting me. She says ignore your company to wipe off this empty smile and stay silent for a while. I'm sick of your mask and sick of your voice. I wish I could disappear, but these locked chains leave me no choice. You watch me struggle, trying to break free I search the ground hunting for the key, i drop to the floor only to look up at you smiling and I begin to shiver, you know on the inside I'm dieing. My body is a fading shadow with no wieght to hold my head, no muscles to open my mouth, and no tears to shed. The devil tells me to stand and look you in the eye, bite on my tongue and swallow back my cry [This message has been edited by nina1522 (08-31-2009 01:20 AM).] |
