The pain that comes because they chastise How does it feel to hear them chide What will it take for them to realize That it all wants to make you hide They’ve pushed and pushed into chaos Though they disavow their part How they’ve made you insecure Now left with a broken heart What pride they have to act blameless As though their doings were for the best They ignorantly coerce you To work when you desperately need rest Easily they can weaken you Taking sleep and stealing time You’re so compliant to do All they want, losing your mind Why can’t you be cognizant? Are you blind to what they do? Is your common sense distant? To how this will destroy you The pain that comes because they chastise How does it feel to hear them chide What will it take for them to realize That this pain comes from their own pride With God I am happy; sadness has no say in my life. |

Although there was a strong theme througout ur poem, the rhyming seemed forced in almost every stanza. This was okay, but I'm sure that u can make this much better. Thanks for sharing! I'd love to see more. There is power in the pen. |
