Peculiar. Possibly a song.

A Descending Interest In Gravity

We will fall through a hole
Made in the sky for us
We’ll fall through everything
Just because we must

We’ll take a slice of fear
And we’ll chew it as we fall
Flailing through air
Ignoring every call

So I’ll hold onto you
Just don’t you hold onto me
As we race against gravity
In bitter symphony

Falling, falling, falling
Tearing up the sky
Taste the wind in our mouths
We don’t even have to try

So I’ll hold onto you
Just don’t you hold onto me
As we race against gravity
In bitter symphony

No wings to break our fall
Shredding atmosphere
We’re eating up the space
Swallow non-existent fear

And we will fall together
Falling through the sky
Carefree and delicious
We don’t want to fly

So I’ll hold onto you
Just don’t you hold onto me
As we race against gravity
In bitter symphony
Falling, falling, falling
Don’t hold onto me
We will fall together
In bitter symphony

This has the flavour of a villanelle.  Why not try and make it one?

Don't worry, you sound far from stupid.  It's a very difficult poetic form.  I'm hoping Christine will have a shot at one soon, .

Here:

Check out two famous ones:

Dylan Thomas's "Do Not Go Gentle into that Good Night", and

Elizabeth Bishop's "One Art"
