Tonight we’ll sleep in darkness
Cause mummy’s just not strong
She tried to hold her head up
But the whole worlds done her wrong

Daddy’s home again now
His boat got lost at sea
Run a-ground on some land
But now he’s home with you and me

Things weren’t supposed to be this hard
Maybe he doesn’t love me anymore
Baby mummy’s trying really hard
But daddy’s still sleeping on the floor

So as I turn out this touch lamp
Please remember that I’m sorry
I didn’t mean to make things hard
So please try not to worry

These fractured scars on tainted ground
Prove that daddy's not worth the fight
He broke mummy into a million pieces
When he threw me down tonight
