It's me, RenaissanceRomanceRunsRed. Couldn't get back into that particular username, so here I am, starting over. -Kate Dark Dreamer In the dark night I dream An endless expanse of my past Haunting, ghostly, you follow me I find myself around you always Don’t you know I’m taken up? I can never be with you Leave me apparition, please Let peace restore my mind I wake with images in my head That would shame my true resolve Oh past, unhook me from your wily line That I may not be devoured I see you fishing in the black expanse Sitting heavily upon the stars Waiting for my dreams to past You snatch them, one by one I thought that we were through with this The silly games of youth So leave me, let me go oh dreamer This is not our story's end |

Really pretty. If only songs didn't have to rhyme it would be a hit. |

Welcome [back] to pip, LittleBird! Glad to see some new life here! This was a very expressive poem. The past most certainly be hard to let go of, especially when transitioning beyond youth. Just remember that while your past defines who you were, YOU define who you ARE. Keep moving forward! P.S. - If you want access to the old account, email Ron and he'll get you back in. |
