I wrote this about a week or two ago and just thought that i'd post for old times sake. =) enjoy, and please feel free to critique (kindly).

I've cried tears for you,
I've kept my mouth shut tight in order to save myself.
I've imagined a life with you in hope it would come true,
But I don't think it's supposed to be that way...
I wanted to hear you sing,
I wanted to feel your hugs,
I wanted you to see who I am.

But you like her while I love you and the problem is I think she likes you too.

It seems a little cliche to me,
But somehow that doesn't make a difference.
I still want you.
I feel like I need you though I know I don't.
I just want to be loved by you
even if it doesn't mean holding your hand...
And I feel so incredibly pathetic.

Let me out of this choke hold,
Free me from the trance,
Cure my case of love sickness,
At least give me a chance to get away.

But I love you while you like her and the problem is...you deserve her.

Oh the pain of love that cannot be. I am so sorry. Beautifully sad. Thanks for sharing.

I surely enjoyed this poem, having being able to relate to it myself. I too, have once been in this situation and not that many years ago I might add. I've gathered that its best to say how you feel, let your emotions run freely. Its always better to say something, rather than nothing at all. If you just keep it all in, you'll never know how that other person truely felt, regardless of a relationship or not. Forever Broken you have a gift of writing and your work is much appreciated! Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

There was a time where I was in this situation almost perpetually (hence the pen-name), so I can definitely relate. A tragic yet beautiful piece; why does heartache and pain always seem to be what inspires the richest art? A personal favorite, for sure.
