I have a mask, A mask of porcelain, A mask to cover my anger, A mask to hide my pain, A mask to conceal my hatred, A mask behind which I bide, Waiting with baited breath, Waiting for someone to see through, Waiting for someone to see my pain, My anger My hatred, Someone to realise I am hurt, Someone to realise I am furious, Someone to see my love, But my mask conceals all, Except my eyes, Which burn behind my mask, My mask of plain, White, Porcelain |

Good work Rachel! I really enjoyed the poem. Hope to read more wonderful poetry! M Sadness, like happiness, has its own majestic beauty and must be embraced as a valid emotion, not pushed down as an abnormality. |
