I Live Alone

I live alone, in the absence of companionship
Can you find me here in the twilight?
Holding on to my last hope- a face

But no eyes look into mine
No one is there to find my soul’s secrets
Withering, my soul hobbles on

Blank slate, it goes away and I see the sun
But clouds swallow the rays that breed life
Leaving the world in melancholy grey

Can you find me now, in this house of fire?
I slowly burn from self loathing
Will anyone step up and save a soul?

Fingers stilled from the feel of soft keys
Senses abandon ship as the mind anguishes
I live alone, today is just another day

On the black coated walls, they wrote my doom.
