In the time of the Hunger Moon, Potatoes grow soggy and shiveled. Sprouting slimy, white legs in the cupboards. The dog grows lean in his cage, Snarling at night shadows, baying at the unforgiving moon. The opossum scavenges nightly, his spoor atestment to his journey, through the trash heap. And hunger slalks the restless soul, whose sluggish blood longs for something green to eat. ~*tori*~ |
