Forty eight million sparkles. The twinkle of lights A galaxy of electricity Switch on, switch off. Create a ball of fire. Let it shine, bring warmth Burning up, a temperature And all of a sudden Darkness. The flicker of black The end, The death. Such a fragile piece of glass A peculiar Creation Of utter hope and despair. |

Oh my gumbo! No flattery intended. I save flattery for the dry-cleaner so he will refrain from putting holes in my shirt. This is so inexplicable, so incredible and so excellent that I have to applaud. This is as close to the essence of poetry (as I perceive it) as I have ever seen. Absolutely amazing piece. I think it appeals to my very prejudiced mind because this kind of thinking and perception follows my personal bent as well, when I ponder life. But I have never been able to put it so succinctly into poetry such as you have done here. You are my personal hero forever. ·´~`·»Garapan«·´~`· "Look! Crumbs on his jacketses... Heeee took it!" |
